Jordan Jensen-Whyte

Head Coach, Male Varsity Basketball

Jordan has been with Edge School as a basketball Head Coach since 2023. He has experience that ranges from the grassroots level to Team Canada. At Edge School he is an associate Head Coach with the National team, Head Coach of the Varsity Prep boys’ team, and helps lead the grade 8-9 basketball academy as well as the grades 4-7 basketball multi-sport option. His coaching career is highlighted by winning a bronze medal at the 2025 FIBA 3×3 World Cup as Head Coach of Team Canada’s Sr. Women’s 3×3 National team in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

He grew up in Calgary, AB, played post-secondary basketball for the University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds from 2012-2017 and played 4 years of professional basketball both internationally and domestically within Canada. While at UBC he graduated with a BA in Sociology, was a Canada West conference Champion, 2x All-Star, Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY), All-Canadian, and captained the T-birds in his final two seasons.

During his professional playing career, he played for Team Canada’s 3×3 Sr. Men’s National Team and in the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC) which was Canada’s first professional basketball league preceding the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). While there he played for the St. Johns Edge of St. Johns, Newfoundland and the London Lighting of London, Ontario. During his time with the Lightning, they won the NBLC league championship in 2022. With Team Canada Jordan participated in an Olympic qualification tournament, won various stops and leagues across Europe and Asia on the 3×3 World Tour and took home a bronze medal for Canada at the 2022 Birmingham, England Commonwealth Games.
