John brings a passion for teaching, training and personal growth to his work at Edge School. Originally from Saskatchewan, he moved to Calgary in 2019 and quickly embraced everything the mountains and active lifestyle have to offer. A lifelong lover of sport and fitness, John played competitive hockey in both the WHL and CIS, experiences that continue to shape his approach to leadership, discipline and teamwork.
Deeply committed to working with students and athletes who strive to be their best, John enjoys building strong relationships and creating environments where effort and resilience are valued. In the summers, he can be found training elite hockey players in Okotoks, focusing on high-performance training and skill development.
Outside of the classroom and rink, John loves to travel and explore the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, backcountry camping, yoga and staying active in as many ways as possible.
Fun fact: he’s also a certified scuba diver. Most importantly, John values time spent with his wife and looks forward to contributing to the Edge community both inside and outside the classroom.
