In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, we are bringing back The Edge Legacy Dinner. This fundraising gala event will welcome nearly 400 members of our Edge community to the Ross Glen Room at Mount Royal University on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

In keeping with tradition, all funds raised at the Edge Legacy Dinner will support Edge School's Financial Aid Program - to provide opportunities for all student-athletes who qualify to attend Edge regardless of their financial situation. We hope to raise over $100,000, which will assist student-athletes who otherwise would not be able to attend Edge School.

Since our inception and humble beginnings, Edge School has been dedicated to building a culture of personal excellence in academics, athletics and character. We envision a way to make the world better by graduating student-athletes who aspire to achieve their personal best. We need your help to provide these opportunities for more student-athletes to pursue their goals and dreams.

The Edge Legacy Dinner is pleased to host two panel groups whose stories are sure to resonate with every guest. The first group features Edge School's original founder, Mr. Brent Devost. Hear the story of how Edge School began - its challenges and pitfalls and the overwhelming obstacles it faced in those early years, while blazing uncharted territory as Alberta’s first sports school. Joining Brent are Bruce Stuart, Dan Bertram and one other early patron who believed in Edge School and helped it become what it is today.

The second group features four members of the 1989 Calgary Flames Stanley Cup Championship team. Hear from Lanny McDonald, Colin Patterson, Joel Otto and Doug Gilmour as they relive that year, that team and beating the odds. The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 5:00 p.m. where you can view the items on display for the silent and live auction. Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. with a three course dinner and the evening will conclude by 9:00 PM.
