Vanesa Ortiz

With 11 years of teaching experience in Mexico and Canada, including nine years at Edge School, I am passionate about Social Studies, Spanish language and culture, and fostering community engagement. I strive to inspire young minds to think critically, engage with their communities, and create meaningful change. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy volunteer work, which aligns with my dedication to community impact, and I’m a podcast enthusiast who’s always exploring new ideas and perspectives to bring into my teaching. My goal is to cultivate an inclusive, dynamic, and thought-provoking learning environment that empowers students to become informed and active citizens.
