Heidi began teaching high school English in 2002. However, she taught her first class in in 1986, when a dance instructor did not show up and she eagerly stepped in. Heidi spent most of her childhood and adolescence pirouetting and says that had Edge existed “in the 1900’s” she would have been the happiest person in the world.
Teaching has always been a part of Heidi’s life from the studio to the classroom. She has a passion for literacy and the lifelong pursuit of learning. Her goal is for each student to feel loved, be inspired, and develop a love for reading and writing.
Heidi has three children and was voted “Teacher-mom” of the year at her old school more than once, the other times she was robbed!
