Love a challenge? Miss your friends? Let’s get moving together, even when we’re apart.

From May 1-20, we’re challenging you to get moving and raise at least $20 for kids in our community. From walking to weightlifting, relevés to running, and stairs to squats – pick your 20 km, 2,000 reps or 20,000 steps – create a team or participate on your own. It’s your 20K, and a fun way to get active this May!

4 EASY STEPS to join the Edge 20K in 20 Days Challenge:

1. Register yourself or your team. Join the challenge by creating a participant profile here and set a fundraising target of $20 or more. Be sure to customize your profile with an image and description so that your supporters can find you, and include a sentence about why you're taking the virtual challenge.

2. Choose your challenge activity. Work towards your 20 km, 2,000 reps or 20,000 steps anywhere you like, anytime – you decide when, where, and how to get active. Need ideas? Download the 20K Ideas & Tips resource here.

3. Share your participant page with your friends and family to support your fundraising and activity goals. Remember to include a link to your participant page and your Strava profile to share your progress.

4. Track your results. Use any fitness app to track your personal progress, or download the Strava app to join the Edge 20K Club. Compete against others to finish at the top of the Edge 20K Club leaderboard! If you are on a team, the team captain can join Strava and track team totals on their participant profile.

Your health and the safety of our community is important to us. Please continue to practice physical distancing as you work towards your 20K.

Tell us about your 20K!

Share your fundraising page on social media and tag your friends to encourage them to take the challenge or join your team.

Tell your challenge stories on the Strava Edge 20K group page and post photos, videos and updates about your progress on social media throughout the challenge by tagging Edge School and using the hashtags #Edge20K #BB4CK #StayActive.

Where do the funds go?

Every day at the Edge School for Athletes, teachers and staff work to support students so they can perform at their best in school and in sports. We know that food is as critical for kids as the right environment. As part of the 20K in 20 Days challenge, the Edge School has partnered with Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids to support their work to feed students across the city, and direct some funds back to Edge to ensure our school and sports facilities are clean and safe for everyone that visits. All funds raised will be shared between the Edge School and Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids. Fundraising is optional, but appreciated.

The more you raise, the more lives you’ll be impacting – here is how you can raise $200 in 5 easy steps. Plus, you’ll feature higher on the 20K in 20 Days fundraising leaderboard!

About Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids

For 30 years, BB4CK has been feeding hungry kids in our city. Food nourishes us. Brings us together. Connects us. From enjoying a family meal to trading sandwiches in the cafeteria, some of the best memories are built over food. Hungry people can’t focus, can’t learn, can’t grow to be their best.

When kids don’t have food, they can’t reach their potential, and they miss out on key childhood experiences. They don’t make friends as easily, they have a harder time learning, they miss more school and are sick more often.

The BB4CK community is committed to ensuring that every kid in every school in our city has the lunch they need to flourish. They feed kids who would otherwise go without.
