Edge School Foundation
The Edge School, like most not-for-profit independent schools, relies on charitable gifts to support its ongoing operations and priorities. Charitable gifts help us further our academic and athletic programming and invest in technology advancements, sports equipment, facility maintenance, and sustain the school’s financial aid program.
As the fundraising body for the school, the Edge School Foundation is dedicated to increasing community awareness, building relationships between the Edge School and its donors, and supporting fundraising initiatives.
Through a variety of distinct but equally important fundraising activities, the Foundation helps to maintain the Edge School as a leading educational and training organization and support its vision of being a global leader in student-athlete development.
Board of Directors
The Edge School Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of alumni, donors, Edge parents, parents of alumni, and business and community leaders. The day to day operations of the Foundation are supported by the Executive Director, a member of the Edge School staff.
Our community of alumni, current and past families, and grandparents exemplify the character that makes the Edge School unique. We are grateful to the many individual and corporate donors who generously donate to the Edge School. Their donations reflect a culture of philanthropy that built the Edge School, and one that continues today.
Through giving in support of the current funding priorities for the school, the Edge donor community is helping to build and sustain an exceptional environment for current and future student-athletes. Funds raised through our annual giving day, Move Mountains, are directed to our Equipment & Facilities Fund and Financial Aid as some our greatest need areas identified by Edge School administration.
Like many charitable groups across the province, the Edge School hosts fundraising events throughout the year. In addition to initiatives led by the Edge School Ambassadors (Parent Council), the Foundation holds the Edge Legacy Dinner, Silent Auction, and Golf Tournaments as Edge community events that are dedicated to raising funds for our Financial Aid Fund to support the Edge Foundation Student Awards.
The Edge School campus is a unique teaching and training facility, and among the most active high-performance sports facilities in the Calgary area. In addition to our Edge after school and summer programs, each year we host thousands of athletes; spectators of nationally and internationally competitive teams; individual student-athletes; local youth and adult sports leagues; and professional and semi-pro athlete training camps.
Corporate sponsorship options on the Edge School campus offer local, regional, and national companies an exciting space environment to advertise their businesses and connect with large and diverse audiences. This income directly supports the maintenance and improvement of our facilities.
