Tuition and Student Awards

Tuition and fees cover the exceptional student-athlete experiences, integrated teaching and coaching, and resources not covered by government grants and philanthropy. These unique aspects of an Edge School education ensure that we fulfill our mission to build a culture of personal excellence in academics, athletics, and character.

Annual tuition fees for Alberta residence are as follows:

Kindergarten and Grade 1 $13,000 A
Grades 2 – 3 $14,500 A
Grades 4 – 6 $17,220 A
Grades 7 – 12 $18,270 A
Kindergarten to Grade 12, Student Activity Fee $600 Annual

A – Please note that additional fees may be incurred as follows:

■ Hockey Team programs which currently range from $12,000 to $16,500 per year.
■ Travel studies opportunities
■ Dance, Golf and Soccer programs offer travel opportunities within North America during the year for showcases and workshops. The cost for these optional trips can range from $800 to $5,000 per trip.

Student Awards

An independent school education requires a major financial commitment. Edge School has established a Student Awards Program to recognize and assist qualified students. We offer both merit- and need-based awards for our families. Please note that families must have successfully completed the admissions process and been given an offer of enrollment prior to being considered for an Opportunity Award or Achievement Award.

Edge Opportunity Awards

Edge Opportunity Awards are need-based and are awarded to students who exhibit sound academic and athletic achievement, good character, and a capacity to make a worthwhile contribution to the School. The majority of Student Awards Program funds are reserved for need-based funding. Edge Opportunity Awards are available to new and continuing students and the Student Awards Application Form must be completed annually and submitted by January 31.  New student applications will be considered beginning Feb. 1st.

Criteria: Awarded based on acceptable academic standing, with financial need as the primary requirement. Students must also demonstrate adherence to Edge School’s LEAD Model (leadership, effort, attitude, dignity).

  • Financial need assessment
  • Personal character statement/review
  • Student Awards Application required

For continuing students:

Edge Achievement Awards

Edge Achievement Awards are merit-based and are awarded to students displaying high proficiency in a combination of academics and athletics and good character. Edge Achievement Awards are available to new and continuing students.

Criteria: Awarded based on demonstrated academic and athletic success and adherence to Edge School’s LEAD Model (leadership, effort, attitude, dignity).
